So one of my friends who I’ve known for a while just announced to me that he and his girlfriend are engaged and getting married. It’s crazy to know someone since high school and watch them, and yourself for that matter, grow into a mature human being.

It makes me feel like I’m in good company. Like there are other people out there surrounding me who have higher goals. Who are growing into adults rather than drinking every Friday and Saturday night.

I just want to say congratulations to everyone out there who realizes their higher goals in life and pursues them; who goes against the grain of society; to everyone who is blossoming from a teenager into a young adult.
